We opened the studio because handwork deserves a place in the middle of city life: not hidden away, not rushed, and not treated as a performance.
Needlework is a language of attention.
At Stitch & Loom, technique matters because it lets you make confidently. But the useful part of a workshop is often more ordinary: a good chair, materials laid out clearly, someone nearby who understands why a stitch has gone tight.
Our approach mixes familiar hand embroidery with contemporary drawing and colour. We teach adults with no assumed background and welcome experienced makers who want a regular place to work. The shop selection follows the same principle: well-made essentials, no clutter.
You will find us on Trubarjeva cesta in Ljubljana, open Tuesday through Saturday. Drop in to look at the worktable, ask about the next session, or simply choose a new length of thread.
